About us

Personal, expert & passionate

Independent and sustainable

Mark Hullegie is an accredited leadership and organizational coach and, since 2017, an advisor to professional drone pilots, entrepreneurs and government and other organizations. Together with Junko Hirata and affiliated self-employed professionals, we work for more than 60 operators in the Netherlands every year.

Droneconsultancy is a distinctive consultancy firm based on the principle that constantly wanting more, more, more is not a sustainable approach for our planet and future generations. That is why we aim for a minimal ‘footprint’, with respect for people and animals.

Droneconsultancy provides personal, expert and passionate advice so that you can do what you do best: carrying out professional drone operations. We do this from the perspective of three dimensions of growth.

Years of aviation experience

With over twenty years of experience in aviation, Mark Hullegie started Droneconsultancy in 2017. He helped many entrepreneurs and semi-government organizations obtain the coveted ROC certificate, now called the Operational Authorisation. We are proud of our clients: OA 001, 002, 006, 024026030041042044, 055, 056, 058, 059, 082, 095, 108, 124, 125, 139, 145, 146, 152, 153, 154, 157, 160, 163, 164, 165, 172, 173, 205, 206, 209, 215, 222, 228, 235, 240, 244256257 and many others whom we have supported.

In addition to this guidance, we provide quarterly training sessions for operator organizations that can be recorded as recurrent training. For drone builders, we provide advice in the area of CE and C labels. We also advise various government bodies such as the National Police, Rijkswaterstaat, the Human Environment and Transport Inspectorate (ILT) and the Netherlands Food and Consumer Product Safety Authority (NVWA).

Since 2020, Junko Hirata has strengthened the team. Loc soon followed to develop and expand the database and platform for operators, Dronestart. A number of specialist freelancers have also joined us. In 2026, Niels Bekman and Martijn Schouten will also strengthen the team.

Since October 2023, the database with templates and manuals has been transferred to a specially established non-profit foundation. The aim of this foundation is to make templates available to the drone sector and keep them manageable.
