Create a professional just-culture drone organization
A just culture is a culture in a company, team or organization based on the principle that everyone makes mistakes. That mistakes are there to learn from, not so much to punish. It means that people feel safe to report incidents, but also that they feel safe to have a different opinion.
Droneconsultancy provides guidance both when starting a drone team and during changes such as mergers and acquisitions. Some clients are already flying in the Open category and now also want to provide their services in the Specific category. The Ocean Cleanup asked us to establish a clear dividing line between doing things in-house and outsourcing. We advised the national drone team of the Police on adjustments to the Operations Manual, investigated incidents, and also coached the team.
The 26 environmental agencies wanted a single permit together. We guided them through coordination, making choices, the covenant, consultation, training and ultimately the realization of the permit. We also help other drone companies that want to work together get off to a good start.
Leadership that creates a safe culture also ensures sustainable effectiveness and loyalty. It cuts both ways. Safety gives people the opportunity to express their needs and desires. In this way, they develop along with the company. Openness and transparency are characteristics of a just culture.
If you want to exchange ideas and develop your leadership, also take a look at zoominout: Leadership from within. By zooming in and out, people regain control from within and once again do what feels right for them.
How do you reintegrate a temporary innovative drone project team into the existing organization? How do you merge while keeping an eye on the origins of both companies? How do you end a collaboration without negative side effects?
Our systemic perspective, using the game-player-place model, helps to make and keep the underlying dynamics healthy.
